This is a weighted monkey's fist door stop knot. It is approximately 6" in diameter and stands around 12" to the top of the loop. It weighs close to five pounds and works very well as a door stop.

The monkey's fist is named because it looks like a small clenched fist and is most often used by sailors for throwing a line to another boat or dock. It usually had a weight inside the knot for more heft.

These are functional as door stops or just look great in a nautical theme.
